River Church is here to help you restore relationships. No matter your past or present, we are dedicated to leading you toward a future filled with hope and healing, starting with a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ.

Gather
At River Church, we gather together each Sunday morning. Through heartfelt worship and biblical teaching, the Gathering serves to unite the River Church body. We believe it is important that we come together collectively to learn about the Word of God. The environment is relaxed and we ask you to come as you are
Groups
Life Groups are the way our people connect throughout the week in smaller settings. Each Life Group meets in a home to share a meal, learn about the Bible and pray for one another. River Church Life Groups are how we share life together, to stay encouraged, and to encourage others.
Gifts
The Bible tells us that every believer has gifts that God has given them to use to encourage people. We at River Church have multiple areas to use your gifts, skills, and passions.
Give
Trusting the Lord with money grows our faith in the Lord. Giving monetarily is one way to trust God and to take part in giving spiritual life in Madison Heights & Central Virginia. You can give in person or online as an act of worship.
What to Expect
A Gathering that will last 75 minutes and will give you live worship and biblical teaching. We are a casual Sunday dress type of church; you will see people wearing t-shirts, people wearing collared shirts, and others wearing ties. River Kids meets during our gathering time on Sunday mornings; our River Kids team will ensure your kids have a safe and exciting time where they learn about how Jesus wants to have a relationship with them.
History
River Church began as a church plant with six families sent out of Oasis Church in September 2012. Our mission was to make an impact in Madison Heights by proclaiming the life-changing message of the Gospel. The opportunity to “bring spiritual life to the spiritual dead” permeated everything we did initially. This has transformed into a larger vision of restoring relationships across Central Virginia, beginning with a transformed relationship with Christ first. In our short history, we have seen the Lord answer miraculous prayers, mend families, and add many to the kingdom of Heaven.
Today, you’ll find River Church providing a welcoming Sunday morning environment while promoting discipleship through personal/relational growth, serving on a team, or attending a life group. We also love to connect through one of our many outreaches. We’re blessed to creatively share the Gospel in small and large group settings throughout our community.
